When I checked with Toyota Motor Corporation’s Public Relations Department, they said, “These are vehicles used to transport officials, mainly production vehicles such as the MIRAI, which were used to move between locations such as the competition venue, the Olympic village and the international media center. About 2,700 of these vehicles are basically going to the used car market. Of the approximately 3,700 vehicles provided in Tokyo 2020, approximately 2,700 will be sold on the used car market. Of these, 90% were hybrid or electric vehicles, including approximately 500 units of the original MIRAI, 500 units of the Prius PHV, 300 units of the Noah/Voxy, and 150 units of the Noah/Voxy (Well Cab). Other vehicles in use include Alphard and Lexus ES, which were used to transport Chairman Bach and other VIPs. I asked a dealer who sells Tokyo 2020  Toyota vehicles, and was told that all used vehicles will be sold at Toyota dealership-affiliated used car stores that handle “Toyota Certified Used Vehicles” as “vehicles used in the operation of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games”.
