Since the release of the new Land Cruiser on August 2, orders have been piling up to 20,000 units, and dealers are telling customers that they will have to wait two to three years for delivery. And if you apply the inflated number of orders to the annual production plan, you can even calculate to wait for a very long 4 years.  There is no doubt that the Land Cruiser 300 is a long-awaited new model with proven performance.

Even so, this concentration of orders is bizarre. Toru Endo, a distribution journalist with an excellent reputation for interviewing dealers had found that there were quite a few “resellers” in the dark, and Toyota was having a hard time dealing with them.
